Three-phase bus tie relay (modernized) APSha-3M (АПШ-3М) is a three-phase bus tie relay used in the AC electrical system of Mi-8, Mi-17 and Mi-171 helicopters to automatically transfer consumer buses from the primary supply to a reserve source. The relay issues a control signal to a switching contactor when one, two, or all three phase voltages of the main line are lost or fall below permissible limits. It supports operation in networks with grounded or isolated neutral, is controlled by a 27 V DC circuit, and operates with 200/115 V or 36 V, 400 Hz three-phase AC systems.
