AZP-A2 (АЗП-А2) is a unified overvoltage protection unit designed to protect the direct current onboard electrical network of Mi-8, Mi-17 and Mi-171 helicopters against overvoltage and generator magnetization reversal during parallel generator operation. The unit is used in systems with individual generator control and operates autonomously with each generator. AZP-A2 replaces earlier AZP-1M and AZP-8M series units and features solid-state voltage measurement and time-delay elements for improved reliability and selectivity. Offered as a standalone certified aviation electrical unit for sale with traceability and documentation available subject to contract.
