Forward navigation light BANO-64 (БАНО-64) is a side navigation position light installed on Mi-8, Mi-17 and Mi-171 helicopters to provide visual identification, position and direction of movement during night operations and reduced visibility. The lights are mounted on the left and right sides of the forward fuselage between frames Nos. 1H and 2H and emit red and green light respectively in accordance with aeronautical signaling standards. BANO-64 also supports coded light signaling as part of the external lighting system.
