SPU-7 (СПУ-7) is an intercommunication unit designed to provide internal telephone communication between flight crew members and to distribute and switch audio signals from onboard radio equipment on Mi-8, Mi-17 and Mi-171 helicopters. The system supports headset communication between pilot stations and additional crew positions, connection to multiple radio stations and navigation receivers, and selection of transmit/receive channels via the intercom control logic. SPU-7 includes the amplifier unit, subscriber units, and switching elements installed in the cockpit and cargo compartment as applicable.
