Tail rotor pitch limit system SPUU-52 (СПУУ-52) is a tail rotor pitch limit system installed on Mi-8, Mi-17 and Mi-171 helicopters to control and limit tail rotor pitch under defined operating conditions, ensuring stable yaw control and protection of tail rotor components. The system includes a cockpit control unit and receiver, interfaces with the MP-100M electromechanism, and is powered from the aircraft DC and AC electrical buses. The SPUU-52E (СПУУ-52Э) version is an optional NVG-compatible modification featuring the BU-32E cockpit unit with green light filtering for night vision goggle operations. Both standard SPUU-52 and SPUU-52E variants are supported depending on aircraft configuration.
